Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-5) arrested two murderers including the prime planner of Singra double murder.
The criminals allegedly murdered former member Mozaffar alias Moza and his brother Hossein of village Borgram of the upazila on 5 August last.
Rapid action battalion also recovered arms and ammo from the criminals’ possession. The arrestees were identified as the main planner of the murder, the present member Eunus Ali,45, and his younger brother Easin,30, sons of late Dabir of Borgram village of the upazila.
ASP Mizanur Rahman, Commander of Natore CPC-2 office of Rab-5 said, on secret information, a team of Natore Rab conducted a raid at Mohasorok area, the Northern part of Jamtoli bazar of the upazila at around 2.00am(last night). At this time, they arrested the criminals, also recovered two foreign made pistol(7.65mm), 2 magazine and 8 round bullets from their possession.
A 8-10 member base miscreants group knocked at Moza’s door at around 1.30am on 5 August night last.
As soon as Moza opened the door, the miscreants attacked on him with sharp weapons. The miscreants also attacked on Moza’s two brothers Hossein and Mohsin while they were trying to save Moza.
Afterwards, they dragged Moza at the neighbor Asma Begum’s yard and slaughtered him mercilessly. Hossein died on the way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on the early Friday.
