Vigilance team of customs intelligence and investigation detained two convered van loaded with ceiling fans from Nayabazar area in city yesterday.
These ceiling fans were imported under bond facilities. Deputy Director CIID Zakir Hossain told that sensing the secret information, they detained these covered van from Nayabazar area .
The approximate cost of these ceiling fans is about Tk.2 cr. Sources said these fans were imported with false declaration of ceiling accessories aimed at e xporting after assembling in factory but the imported brough complete fan for se lling in open market, sources said.
