Two including a teenage boy, reportedly committed suicide in Muhammadpur and Sadar upazilas on Monday night. The deceased were identified as Mistaul Islam, 14, son of Manik Ali ofBelnagarvillage in Sadar upazila and Kamrul Islam, 50, son of Habibur Rahman of Jashpur village in Muhammadpur upazila.
Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Magura Police station, saidMistaul, a student of Class-IX of Magura Government Boys High School, took his life by hanging himself at his house.
Earlier, the victim was blamed for stealing a mobile phone of one his classmates, said the OC adding that primarily, they anticipated that Mistaul might have committed suicide as he could not tolerate theft allegation.
