A youth named Siddique Ahmed (30) commits suicide by hanging on Tuesday night last following the family feud with wife .
The tragic incident occurred at Shershah Devarpar area in city. ASI o f the Chittagong Medical college police camp Alauddin Majumder quoting sources of the victims family said severe altercations over the famly matters occurred on that night between husband and wife and later at late night husband siddique commits suicide by hanging . Sensing the incident, the family members rushed him to CMCH hospital with critical conditions where the attending physicians declared him dead.
Another reports adds: A housewife allegedly committed suicide at Shikalbaha area under Karnaphuli Thana on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Morzina Akter Monni, 20, wife of Omar Faruk, hailed from a local colony of CDA area.
M Belal, Sub Inspector of Karnaphuli Police Station said, they have been living in a rented house in the colony and had an altercation over a family matter last night. Around 5:00am Faruk discovered that Monni was missing and when he checked their room found her hanging from the ceiling. Receiving information police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue for autopsy.
