One CNG auto rickshaw driver’s dead body was recovered from a village ditch at Kuchirkandi of Jogonnathpur Upazila under greater Sylhet and another CNG Driver dead body found in Darbast Union under Kanaighat Upazila of the Sylhet on Sunday evening. The deceased has been identified as Bishu Malakar (33), Son of Nikhil Malakar of Bhogshail under Bishwanath Upazila in Sylhet District.
They said Bishnu went out of home driving his auto rickshaw and did not return. Besides, his cell phone has also been found unreachable. According to police the deceased might be assassinated by a gang of CNG-lifters who hijacked the CNG after killing him with sharp weapons. Acting on information Jogonnathpur Upazila police recovered the dead body at 5:00 pm on Friday and handed over to Biswanath Upazila police who lodged a case in the connection.
