Two China returnees admitted to hospitals in Habiganj, Barguna

Two China returnee students have been admitted to government hospitals in Habiganj and Barguna on suspicion of infecting with the novel coronavirus.
In Habiganj, Dr Mostafizur Rahman, Habiganj Civil Surgeon said, a China returnee student was sent to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after being admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening.
Rahman said Raihan has been suffering from cold-related diseases and shoulder pain for the last three days.
The student, returned from China recently is a native of Sayestaganj Sadar Upazila of the district.
“He will undergo medical tests and blood samples will be sent to Dhaka shortly,” Dr. Rahman said to journalists. A medical board was formed in the hospital.
He said also that no signs of coronavirus were found on him.
In Barguna, another China returnee student has been admitted in Barguna General Hospital with cold fever on Sunday night.
Dr. Md. Sohrab Uddin, Director of the hospital confirmed the news to journalists. He said there is no sign to the student of being infected with coronavirus.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Humayun Shahin Khan asked everyone not to be panicked over the incident.
“No one should be panicked over the student’s hospital admission incident,” the civil surgeon said in a press briefing at his office on Monday.
Abir Mohammad Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Barguna Sadar Police Station said that he informed that one student fled from China in Baliatoli Union. After getting the information police bring him to the hospital, he added.
