At least two children drowned at Shilmla village under Badpa union in Itna haor Upazila of Kishoreganj on Thursday afternoon. The victims were identified as Farzana Akhter, daughter of Munnach Miah and Papia Akhter, daughter of Iliasuddin at Shilmla in Badla union of Itna Upazila.
The two children who drowned were six years old. They were students of Shimla-Shantipur Government Primary school in Itna
Police and local sources, Papia and Farzana went to play in the pond on the east side of Shimla Shantipur Government Primary School around 3:30 pm on Thursday
