Two children drowned in pond at Hanua village under Guthiya union of Wazirpur upazila on Sunday noon.
Golam Sarwar, officer in charge of Wazirpur police station, said the two victims were identified as Nabib, 04, son of Harunor Rashid Master and Durjoy, 7, son of Raju Poddar of the village.
Quoting family sources police said the boys went to the pond nearby their home after playing on Sunday noon and drowned.
Locals immediately rescuing them after searching brought to nearby Banaripara upazila health complex.
There attending doctor declared the both victims as dead.
Dead bodies handed over to family members without postmortem on their request, police sources said.
