The trial of two cases lodged against Rafiqul Islam Madani, better known as Shishu Bokta for his boyish look, began in a court of Dhaka on Wednesday with testimonies of the complainants.
The cases were filed with Motijheel Police Station of the capital and Gacha Police Stations in Gazipur under the Digital Security Act.
Madani, aged reportedly over 25, faces allegations of anti-state remarks and trying to incite chaos.
The judge yesterday recorded the statement of the complainants who were later cross-examined by Madani’s lawyers.
