The detective branch of police has arrested two brothers with 1.3 million yaba pills in a contraband crackdown in Chattogram.
Being tipped off, police raided a house in the residential area of Shyamoli in Halishahar and seized around 300,000 yaba pills from the house, Metropolitan Detective Police Inspector Md Kamruzzaman told.
On a tip-off, a team of the DB police conducted a raid in the area around 4 am and nabbed the duo with 300,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from a house, said Mainul Islam, assistant commissioner of the DB of CMP.
Later, they seized another consignment of one million pills from a car in the garage of the house. The arrested Md Ashraf, 48, and his brother Md Hasan, 24.
