Two bodies recovered in C’nawabganj

Police of Shibganj thana recovered a dead body from Puskuni area under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district yesterday noon.
The dead body has been identified as Waliul Islam, 42, son of late Sonu Mia
of Benichak village under Chowdala union of Gomostapur upazila of
Chapainawabganj district.
OC of Shibganj thana Moinul Islam said, being informed by the local
sources, police from Shibganj thana went to the area and saw the dead
body in a mango orchard. Police recovered the dead body at 11-30 am
and sent it to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Miscreants hacked him dead any time at night and left him in the mango orchard by tying his hands, he added.
In another incident, the dead body of another Padma boat capsize victim Zonab Ali, 60, son of Esahak Ali of Dogachi under Durlavpur union of Shibganj upazila of the district was recovered from the river at Bakharali under Charbagdanga union of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Wednesday morning.
The locals saw the body floating in the river and recovered it. Being informed chairman of Durlavpur union Abu Ahmed Nazmul Kabir Mukta along with the members of the Fire Service Department
rushed to the spot and took the body home. Brother of deceased Zonab Ali Abdul Khaleq identified the dead body.
 An engine driven boat capsized in the river Padma as it was
caught in a storm at Monohorpur under Durlavpur union of Shibganj upazila of the district on Monday evening. Four people identified as Sumi Aktar, 17, daughter of Arshad Ali of Raninagar and Azrin Khatun, 11, daughter of Azizul Hoque of Daisapara, Risat, 8, son of Nasir Uddin of Gaipara Dasrashia village under Monakasha union and Zonab Ali, 60, son of Esahak Ali of Dogachi under Durlavpur union all of Shibganj upazila had been remaining missing.
Dead bodies of Sumi and Azrin were recovered on Tuesday. Child Risat still remains missing.
