Two bodies recovered in C’nawabganj

Police of Chapainawabganj Sadar and Shibganj thanas recovered two dead bodies on Tuesday.
The dead bodies were identified as Moslema Khatun, 33, wife of Salim Reza of Amnura Saifuddinpara under Jhilim union of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila and Ritu Ara Khatun, 10, daughter of Anarul Islam of Bakharali Biswanathpur village under Binodpur union of Shibganj upazila of the district.
OC of Chapainawabganj sadar thana Jasim Uddin said, being informed by the local sources, police rushed to the spot in the morning and found Moslema’s dead body hanged with the ceiling of the room. Police recovered the dead body and detained the deceased woman’s mother in law Refa Begum, 55 and brother in law Habibur, 23 for interrogation. It is suspected that it could have been occurred as a sequel of internal family feud but it can be ascertained only after investigation whether it was a suicide or murder, he added.
OC of Shibganj thana Ashiqur Rahman said, seeing the dead body lying in a mango orchard at Chandshikari village under Binodpur union of Shibganj upazila, the locals informed the police of this. At this police rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body at around 12 noon.
Ritu went out of home on Monday afternoon and did not return, he added. Police suspect that she was killed by suffocating, he further added. The dead bodies were sent to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
