Prof Kingsley Agho and Prof Masudul Haque of Western Sydney University, Australia paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman on Monday at his office of the university.
Prof of DU Sociology Department ASM Amanullah was present on this occasion, said a DU press release.
During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs on public health by the DU, the Ministry of Health and Western Sydney University, Australia.
They also discussed about exchanges of teachers, students and researchers between the two universities in the meeting. The guests expressed their willingness to provide training programs for Bangladeshi doctors and senior nurses in Australia.
They agreed to sign a MoU in this regard soon, the release added.
