Two alleged drug lords who happens to be husband and wife of Madhukhali upazila were arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-8 from their residence on Wednesday evening along with huge number of yaba tablets.According to RAB sources, acting on secret information and intelligence surveillance a group of RAB members raided Sat Bhai Para village under Dumain union of Madhukhali upazila of this district.
After searching the house of one Jafar Sheikh, 48 the law enforcing men recovered 500 yaba tablets and two cell phones. RAB also arrested Jafar’s wife Hasina Begum, 40 as both were involved with drug trade for long time. The villagers’ complaint and also the confessional statements of the arrested Jafar clearly evident that they were doing business in large scale which was their profession.
RAB handed them over to Madhukhali police for legal actions.
