Two suspected rapists out of six had been arrested after a mother and daughter filed a rape case accusing six with Shibpur Police station of Narsingdi on Saturday noon.
The suspects have been identified as Delowar Hossian,30, son of one Anower Hossain, and Shafiq, 25, son of one Abdul Bareque
Shibpur Model police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the incident.
Local sources said five female members of the same family, including the mother and daughter, were returning to Habiganj by bus on Friday.
But unfortunately the bus went out of order near the Sristighar bus stand in Shibpur. At this point, six local criminals adulated the mother and her daughter to go with them, promising to help them board another bus that would take them home safely.
Rather the devils forced them into an abandoned jute mills and took turns raping them.
When the women started screaming, the rapists made a quick getaway. The two women then went back to Sristighar bus stand and disclosed the incident to the locals. The victims were sent to Narsingdi sadar hospital for medical examinations.
OC Abul Kalam said the mother filed a case against six people involved in the horrific crime. “We are trying to arrest the four other suspects,” the OC added.
