BSS, Lakkhipur :
Two armed miscreants and four policemen were injured in a shootout between law enforcers and the criminals in Sadar upazila of the district today.
Police also arrested a robber Noor Uddin alias Nuru, 40, and recovered a local gun and two bullets from his possession.
The injured police personnel are Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sohel Miah, 33, constables Arfan, 28, Sumon, 25, and Shahabuddin, 26, of Chandraganj Police Investigation Centre. Locals and police said the shootout erupted when a team of Chandraganj Police Investigation Centre raided Purbarajapur village to arrest BNP backed armed cadres of the area at about 3pm.
