Two ambulances inaugurated for expatriates

Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc on Thursday inaugurated two ambulances for expatriates at Probashi Kalyan Bhaban at Eskaton in the city.
Wage Earners’ Welfare Board (WEWB) sponsored the ambulances. The ambulance having modern facilities will provide services to expatriates to carry bodies of expatriates and ill persons. One of the ambulances will be run in Sylhet.
Addressing on the occasion, the minister said the government is working devotedly for the welfare of expatriate workers and their family members.
The government has a plan to construct residential schools, hospitals and housing project for relatives of expatriates in coming days, he added.
Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Secretary Dr Nomita Halder, Additional Secretary Md Aminul Islam and WEWB Director General Gazi Mohammad Julhash were present on the occasion.
