Two adulterated organic fertilizer factories were found and locked in Saidpur. The adulterated factories were found in the mobile court in BISIC Industrial Estate recently. It is known that two fertilizer factories, called Green Organic Fertilizers and Apurbo Organic Manure, were being produced and marketed those adulterated organic fertilizers for long time in Saidpur BISIC Industrial area. Owners of Green Organic Fertilizer and Apurbo Organic Manure are respectively Md. Hamidul Islam and Md. Anisul Islam Chowdhury.
After getting information on secret sources, Saidpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Bazlur Rashid operated a campaign in Saidpur BISIC Industrial zone recently. At the time of the mobile court proceedings, 150 sacks from the Green Organic Fertilizer Factory located in an industrial plot of BISIC Industrial area and 60 sacks adulterated organic fertilizers, materials and equipments of making organic manure are seized.
The seized fertilizers and materials have been given under the custody of BISIC Industrial Estate Officer, Sirajul Islam. At that time, Saidpur Upazila Agriculture Officer (UAE) Homaira Mondal Himu was also present. However, the owners of the factories fled away and locked them at the information of the operation.
According to a source, the owners of the adulterated factories were making organic fertilizers with manufacturing and marketing at the closed Industrial plots of the BISIC industrial area for a long time. Farmers were being cheated by applying those adulterated fertilizers and using them in the field. The farmers were not getting desired profit and were suffering financial losses.
