The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Thursday placed two persons- Sabina Akhtar Bristi and Siraj Mia alias Babul on a three-day remand each in the case filed in connection with the abduction of minor girl Sumaiya. Magistrate Pranab Kumar of the CMM Court passed the order after Kamrangirchar Police Station SI Rajibul Islam produced them in the court seeking 10 days’ remand for interrogation.
Five-year old Sumaiya was abducted from in front of her house at Borogram in Kamrangirchar on April 3.
After Sumaiya’s father lodged a General Diary (GD), a team of Kamrangirchar Poice Station rescued the child from a house at Rahmatganjbagh, Dakhin Dania under Kadamtali Police Station on Thursday.
