The certificate awarding ceremony of a three training courses on ‘TV News Presentation,’ ‘Video Camera Operations’ and ‘Graphic Design’ conducted by Bangladesh Institute of Journalism and Electronic Media (BIJEM) recently held at the institute in the city’s New Elephant Road area.
Mir Md Motahar Hasan, Advisor to Chairman of ATN Bangla was present as chief guest and distributed certificates among the participants. Chairman and Managing Director of Fahrenheit Marketing Communications Ltd Tushar Das and Feature Editor of The New Nation Sheikh Arif Bulbon were present as special guests on the occasion. BIJEM Executive Director Mirza Tarequl Qader presided over the function.
In the programme, in his speech the chief guest said that news presenters should have vast knowledge on presentation techniques, news and current affairs. Proper training and continuous practice are essential to become skilled cameraman and graphic designer. The courses were conducted by renowned TV news presenters, phoneticians, cameramen and graphic designers. A total of 52 participants including 24 female students of different public and private universities and colleges, took part in the courses.
