Promising TV actress Asha Chowdhury died in a road accident. The accident took place in the capital’s Darussalam area in Mirpur on Monday night. Her body had been lying on the road for a long time after the accident.
While talking in this regard playwright Roman Runi said, “A speedy truck crushed her when she was crossing the road in the Darussalam area. The actress died on the spot. Her body has been kept at Suhrawardy Hospital morgue.” Asha Chowdhury was an enlisted actress of Bangladesh Television. She regularly acted in single episode dramas. She also acted in telefilms and drama serials. Recently, she took part in shooting of the drama titled The Revenge directed by Roman Runi.
Citing the family of the deceased, SI Sohan Ahmed of Darussalam Police Station said that Asha was a student of the Department of Law at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). Besides studying, she also worked in a private buying house. As per the inquest report of the body, it seems that the girl was killed in a road accident. An autopsy will reveal the exact cause of death.
