Tusty, Satirtha, Chhonda, Shatabdi in Tagore’s play Muktir Upai

On the occasion of Rabindranath Tagore’s birth anniversary on May 8, talented play director and actor Satirtho Rahman has made a special play titled Muktir Upai. Litu Sakhawat wrote script of the play. Shooting of the play has already been done in rural atmosphere at Pubail in Gazipur recently.
In the play, Shatabdi Wadud, Golam Farida Chhonda, Shamima Tusty and Satirtho Rahman Rubel acted in roles of Fakir Chand, Hoimoboti, younger daughter-in-law and Makhon Lal respectively.
While talking about working experiences in the play Chhonda told this correspondent, “Basically we wanted to break the traditional features while acting in this play. Satirtho has tried to keep the variation while making the play so that he included slightly comedy approach. I believe viewers will enjoy the play.”
Shatabdi Wadud shared his feelings by this way, “I always prefer to play with different roles while acting in any play or telefilm. Fakir Chand is a nice role. I enjoyed a lot to perform in that role in the play.”
Shamima Tusty said, “In fact, I always like to work in literature based works. Muktir Upai is that kind of play.”
Director Rubel informed that the play will be aired on Channel i at 8:30pm on the occasion of celebrating Tagore’s birthday, Boishakh 25.
Meanwhile, from this month Chhonda is expected to take part in shooting of her first movie titled Bondho Duar, which will be directed by Shahriar Nazim Joy.
On the other hand, Shatabdi Wadud acted and Tauquir Ahmed directed movie Oggatonama is scheduled to be screened in the Cannes Festival. Shatabdi is very much excited in this regard.
