Tushar Khan’s three decades in acting

Noted actor Tushar Khan impressed the audience by his successful acting in the fields of theatre, cinema and television. He has successfully completed three decades of his career in acting.
He attached himself with Aranyak Natyadal in 1982. From that year to till date he has been acting in every play of this group like Iblis, Ora Kodom Ali, Somotot, Moyur Singhason, Joy Joyonti, Abobahika, etc. Tushar got appreciation to act in five roles in Shah Alam Dulal directed a play titled Khela Khela.
Tushar said that his first acted television drama’s story was written by Dr Enamul Haque. He started his career as a professional actor since 1992. He came into limelight to act in television drama Itikotha, which was directed by Mamunur Rashid and produced by Alauddin Ahmed.
In big screen, Tushar first acted in Chashi Nazrul Islam’s movie Ajker Protibad. He caught the attention of the viewers to act with late Salman Shah in Mohammad Hannan’s movie Bikkhobh. Later, he also acted in several other movies. Salman Shah was junior to Tushar by age but they had a good friendship. Before day of Salman’s death, Tushar came to Bangladesh from USA. For his death, works of 20 movies became uncertain. Tushar later concentrated to acting in small screen. Earlier, Tushar’s family did not agree for his acting. While talking in this regard the actor said, “My family was very much conservative. Once my elder uncle Aminul Islam Khan appreciated my acting and I was delighted and also inspired by his remark. It is true that my mentor Mamunur Rashid had a great inspiration to my career in acting. He is my inspiration. But as an actor, I am still dissatisfied. Despite having keen interest to play the role of a disabled person I yet not get the opportunity to play. It is my dream role.”
