National Youth Day observed: Turning youths into skilled workforce for dev stressed

The National Youth Day was observed with in a befitting manner in Gopalganj on Friday.
Youth gathering, youth rally, discussion meeting, cheque and certificate distribution, cleanliness and inaugurated of Handy Crafts training course to make the day. District Administration and Youth Development Department, Gopalganj jointly organized the programme.
On the occasion of the day, they brought out a colorful rally & chanting slogans. The rally paraded main roads in the city.
After rally, a discussion meeting was held at Dc office conference room in the city. Sheikh Saha Mohammad Farid, preside the chair.
Shahida Sultana, deputy commissioner (DC), Gopalganj present as the chief guest. Chowdhury Emdadul Haque, president, district Awami League (AL), Gopalganj, Mohammad Saidur Rahman Khan (PPM), superintend of police (SP), Gopalganj, Mahabub Ali Khan, general secretary, awami league (AL), Gopalganj, Sheikh Luthfar Rahman Bacchu, sadar upazila parishad chairman, Gopalganj, Kazi Liakat Ali, mayor, Gopalganj pourashava and Md. Rizbi-ul-kabir, District facilitator, British council, P4D project were spoken on the occasion.
It is mentioned that Youth Development Department, Gopalganj distributed Tk 5.3 lakh among 25 trainees besides taka 7 lacs 20 thousands as a loan among 12 trainees and they distributed certificate among 12 trainees. On the occasion of National Youth Day.
Staff Reporter from Kishoreganj says: Department of Youth Development including Kishoreganj District Administration arranged a colourfull rally, discussion, cheque distributing among the skilled youths, postering and cultural function marking the National Youth Day on Friday in the district.
The theme of the day was “Dakkha Jubo Gorche Desh- Banglubandhu Bangladesh”.
Former Senior Youth and Sports Secretary and Ex. IGP Noor Mohammad M.P attended as chief guest and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury and Police Super (SP) Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM (Bar) were attended as special geust while Deputy Director of Youth Development Department Md. Rokan Uddin Bhuiyan in the chair.
It was addressed among others by ADC (General) Abdullah-al-Masud, District Awami League Secretary Advocate M.A Afzol, Training Co-ordinatior Tania Akhter and Women Leader Bilkis Begum.
Noor Mohammad said that underscored the need for turning the hands of the unemployment youths into working ones to lead the country towards desined development side by side with building a middle income country by 2021 and a developed one by 2041, a mission declared by Prime Minsitry Sheikh Hasina.
BSS from Gaibandha says: The National Youth Day was observed in the district as elsewhere in the country on Friday with a call to build a poverty-free happy and prosperous nation.
This year’s the theme of the day is “Dakkha Jubo Gorche Desh, Bangabandhur Bangladesh” (Skilled youths are building the country, Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh).
Marking the day, district administration and Department of Youth Development (DYD) chalked out elaborate programmes in the town. On the occasion, a colorful rally was brought out in the morning from Independence Square and ended at Zilla Shilpakala Academy. Whip of the Jatiya Sangshad Mahabub Ara Begum Gini inaugurated the rally as the chief guest.
A discussion meeting was also held at Zilla Shilpakala Academy auditorium with deputy commissioner (DC) Abdul Matin in the chair. Mahabub Ara Begum Gini addressed the function as the chief guest.
Police super Towhidul Islam, district general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Abu Bakar Siddique, mayor of Gaibandha Municipality Advocate Shah Masud Zahangir Kabir Milon, Sadar UNO Uttam Kumar Roy and organizing secretary district unit Awami League Mridul Mostafi Jhontu were present as special guests.
