Local Government Division Secretary of LGRD and Cooperatives Helal Uddin Ahmed said, the main objective of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) is to work with the development of village.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the views-exchange meeting on development activities of LGED at its Headquarters , Agargaon in the city yesterday.
He said, the pace of development activities is going on under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and every village has to turned into town according to the manifesto of the government .
He also called upon the engineers and officials of the LGED to work with sincerity and emphasiesd Rohingya and waste management projects .
LGED Chief Engineer Md Khalilur Rahman said, LGED has been working with about 13,000 staff for the massive development of the country . he said, work on 152 projects is going on .
Additional Secretary of Local Government Division Dr Kazi Anwarul Haq , Joint Secretary Mesbauddin, additional chief engineers and project directors were also present in the meeting .
