Bangladesh on Monday sought the help of Turkish government for modern equipment to face the situation arising out of natural disaster like earthquake.
The Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya came up with the request when Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Debrim Ozturk paid a call on at his office at the ministry here.
During the meeting, the minister briefed the envoy about the policy support systems and measures taken by the government to face the disaster.
The minister said Turkish government would help Bangladesh to take proper steps to face earthquake with modern earthquake monitoring facilities for continuous monitoring and forecast.
The Turkish envoy invited the minister to join World Humanitarian Summit 2016 to be held in Turkey.
