Turkish Assembly Speaker Ismail Kahraman expects that the existing trade ties with Bangladesh can be increased further. He also emphasised on greater unity of the Muslim world for broader peace, stability and development. He made the comment when Bangladesh Ambassador M. Allama Siddiki met him at his office in Ankara on Saturday.
The current two-way trade is $1.2 billion. But the Speaker said it can be reached to $5 billion.
Bangladesh Ambassador M. Allama Siddiki briefed the Speaker about the upcoming Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) between the countries and the Joint Economic Commission Meetings (JEC).
