Tuba Group workers, who went on hunger strike, will get their outstanding salaries and bonuses, by next seven days, a BGMEA leader said .
“Tuba group workers to get their dues in a week,” SM Mannan Kochi, vice president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters’ Association (BGMEA), told a press conference at the BGMEA Bhaban on Thursday noon.
Several hundreds of workers of Tuba Group went on hunger strike for the third day in a row on Thursday, demanding their outstanding salaries and Eid bonus.
Meanwhile, at least 30 workers fell sick. They began the hunger strike on the sixth floor of the factory housed at Hossain Market at Uttar Badda in the city since the Eid day.
