A minor schoolboy was crushed under the wheels of a truck on Rangamati-Khagrachhari highway at Kutukchari union under Rangamati Sadar upazila of the district on Monday at 7am.
The victim was identified as Jum Chakma, 4, a nursery student at Kutukchari BM KG School.
Local people caught the truck, but its driver and helper managed to flee.
