An arson victim truck driver succumbed to his injuries at Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) early Friday.
The victim has been identified as Mohammad Jahangir Alam, 30, resident of Kahalu upazila in Bogra district, said Partha Sankar Pal, residential surgeon of DMCH Burn Unit.
Jahangir was admitted to the Burn Unit with 64 percent burn injuries, died around 3:30 am, he said.
The victim received burn injuries when blockade
supporters hurled petrol bombs at a truck at Char Matha in Bogra town on January 23, injuring a driver and helper, sources said.
He was first admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital and later he was shifted to DMCH when his condition deteriorated, he added.
