Police in a drive arrested a truck driver along with 109 kg hemp worth TK 10 lakh at Thutapaikor village in Nageswari upazila on Wednesday early morning.
The arrestee was identified as Alam Miah, son of Abdul Kader Miah, hailing from Rajpara-Keshabpur area of Rajshahi district.
Being tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Alam along with 109 kg hemp wrapped in cloths in nine packets after searching his truck, said Officer-in-Charge of Nageswari police station Abdullah Al Sayed.
Police also seized the truck no- Dhaka Metro- Ta- 14-9857.
