Tributes paid to memories of Fazlur Rahman Khan

Speakers at a memorial meeting on Saturday paid rich tributes to the memories of Fazlur Rahman Khan, a political associate of Bangabandhu and one of the organizers of the country’s War of Independence, recalling his outstanding contributions in the liberation War. Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali, MP, spoke ast the chief guest.
” Fazlur Rahman Khan was a popular, dedicated and honest political leader and he could win the hearts of the people by rendering service round the clock for their welfare and he played an important role for organizing liberation war in Netrakona in 1971,” the speakers said.
The meeting was held at Netrakona Public Hall here under the auspices of Fazlur Rahman Khan memorial, to mark the 12th death anniversary of Fazlur Rahman Khan.
Chaired by convener of the MMHC Principal Golam Rasul Talukder, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Chairman of Netrakona Zila parishad Prasanta Kumar Ray, Mayor of Netrakona Municipality Nazrul Islam Khan, Chairman of Barhatta upazila Parishad Mainul Haque Kasem, freedom fighter Muzammel Haque Bacchu, President of district Bar Association Advocate Sitangsu Bikash Acheryo, Joint secretary of district Awami League Nur Khan Mitu and president of district Krishak League Kashob Ranjan Sarker.
