A discussion meeting to pay tributes to Justice Muhammad Habibur Rahman, Justice Mustafa Kamal and Samson H Chowdhury was held under the auspices of “Silpita” in Public Library Seminar Hall in the city on Sunday.
Eminent Prof of Dhaka University Dr. Ajoy Roy, poet Nasir Ahmed, Dr Hayat Mamud, writer Ali Imam, Eminent Journalist Syed Tosharaf Ali, Poet Nasir Ahmed, Ex Deputy Director of Bangladesh Betar Asfaqur Rahaman Khan, Rubaba Rahaman, eldest daughter of Justice Habibur Rahaman and others took part in the discussion while Alhaj Abdul Zabbar Mahaman was in the chair.
In addition with discussion, Moon Rozario, Engg Hedayet Ullah, Moshiur Rahaman, Ali Niamat, Shanaz Perveen and Dr. Anis Siddique recited poem and read out writings from Habibur Rahaman.
The function was dedicated to Artist Abdul Mukhudir and poet Syeed Akondh. To show respect to the demise of cinema Director Chashi Nazrul Islam, the speakers and audience remain silent for one minute.
Speakers remembered the outstanding contribution of Justice Muhammad Habibur Rahaman in various fields, especially in the field of writings and research.
They said Justice Mustafa Kamal also be remembered for his brilliant contribution in his Court Judgment while most of speakers evaluated Samsong H. Chowdhury as an unique leader of management.
Young generation will be benefited if they choose them as role model, they said.
