The trial of two cases of Railway employment corruption scandal of East Zone began yesterday before the court of Metropolitan Session Judge .
Former General Manager of East Zone, Railway Yousuf Ali Mridha are the prime accused in these two cases. Metropolitan Session Judge SM Mujibur Rahman directed the court bench to start proceeding against these two cases yesterday through framing charge sheets.
These cases related with the appointment of Tools Keeper and Ticket Issuer in East Zone of Railway, Chittagong. Special PP of ACC, Chittagong Adv Mahmudul Hoque told that court fixed dates for depositions of the witnesses on August 6 and 7 next.
Mentionable that Asstt Director of ACC SM Rashidur Reza already submitted charge sheets before the court on April 2 last. These two cases were lodged before the Kotwali thana on September 13, 2012 by ACC , sources said.
