A human chain was formed at Keraniganj demanding arrest of truck driver for allegedly killing of two children – Afridi (13) and Afsar Uddin (10) on Thursday .
Around 500 people, including students of different educational institutions took part in the human chain on both sides of the Dhaka Mawa highway in Rajendrapur Stand area under south Keraniganj thana.
Later, several thousand workers gathered at human chain at different places on the Dhaka-Mawa highway from Abdullahpur to Hasnabad . About half an hour the traffic on the Dhaka Mawa Highway was closed. People participating in the human chain demanded punishment to the assailant truck driver .
Alif, a fifth grade student of Baghair Government Primary School, who participated in the human chain, said Afsar was his friend. In response to the judgment of Afsar murderer, he came to the street with everyone.
Rubel Hossain, a 6th grade student of Western Model High School, said, “We leave the house early in the morning and return home at the afternoon.” Road drivers on the road are becoming uncertain to return to our home.
The deceased’s father, Md. Dalim Hossain, said that my children did not die in any accident. The truck driver killed my children in front of me. I want justice for the murder. Immediately the truck driver was arrested and demanded to bring him under the law.
Additional Superintendent of Police Keraniganj Circle Ramananda Sarker told this correspondent that we are using the highest technology to arrest the killer truck driver. Hopefully he will be arrested soon.

Afrin (13) and Afsar Uddin (10), two siblings were killed in a truck crash in the Rajendrapur Mollahr pool area under South Keraniganj Police Station on Monday (January 28th). Their father Mohammad Dalim was injured in the accident. Afrin a student of 6th grade of Cosmopolitan School and College. Afsar was a student of class 4 in the same school.
