The trial against the BNP central leader Giasuddin Quader Chowdhury has began in Chittagong in a defamation suit so filed by Awami League Law Affairs secretary of Rangunia Upazila AL Subash Barua on behalf of former Forest and Environment Minister Dr.Hasan Mahmud for bad remarks on him as a top corrupted personality.
Senior Judge Abu Salam Md.Noman begins trial proceedings before the court after charge framing against Gias Quader yesterday.
Public Prosecutor of district Judge Adv Abul Hashem told that yesterday was the date for charge framing and after hearing the deliverations of the state counsel, the Judge acquitted one from the charge and order to proceed with the charge against Gias Quader. The next date of hearing fixed on September 3 next, court sources said.
