Kasba upazila. The tri-annual conference of Kasba Upazila Awami League was held at Ali College ground in Brahmanbaria on Saturday.
As there were no rival candidates in the conference, former joint convener of Upazila Awami League, Municipal Mayor MA G Haqqani, convener of Upazila Awami League Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Adv Anisul Haque has been appointed as the President .When Chairman Rashedul Kaiser Bhuiyan proposed Jibon as General Secretary, it was unanimously accepted.
Awami League presidium member Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak was the chief guest on the occasion. The partial committee of the Upazila Awami League announced the convener of the conference and the president of Brahmanbaria district Awami League, war wounded freedom fighter R M Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury MP.
Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League and Whip of Jatiya Sangsad was present as a guest at the conference. Disaster Management and Relief Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Member of Parliament for Brahmanbaria-1 (Nasirnagar) constituency BM Farhad Hossain Sangram, Umme Fatema Nazma Begum (Shiuli Azad), a member of the reserved women’s seat-12 of the Jatiya Sangsad, Helal Uddin, senior vice-president of the district Awami League and others.
