Noted cardiac surgeon and consultant of cardiac medicine of this subcontinent Dr Devi Prashad Shetty said , the first ever international standard healthcare services in the port city to help facilitate the patients of Bangladesh rather to go abroad in future.
He disclosed this while addressing the inauguration ceremony of specialized Imperial Hospital Ltd at Pahartali in the Port City as Chief Guest.
The Imperial Hospital was build at a cost of Tk 900 crores.
In his brief address of Chief Guest, founder of Bangalore Narayana Institute of Cardiac Science on India Dr Devi Shetty said following the establishment of Imperial Hospital in the Port City Chattogram , the trend of going abroad of patients will be decreased gradually in coming days.
Chairman of the Imperial Hospital Board of Directors Prof Dr Rabiul Hossain delivered address of welcome in it. Dr. Rabiul Hossain said patients will get all sorts of medicare services under one roof and the Cardiac Department of IHL will be conducted jointly by Narayana Hospital , India and IHL .
Following the joint auspices of cardiac department, the cardiac department of IHL named as Imperial-Narayana Cardiac Department. Former Minister and incumbent lawmaker Engr.
Mosharaff Hossain also addresses the opening ceremony and congratulated the noted cardiac consultant and surgeon Dr. Devi Shetty for involving himself in the operational activities of the IHL.
Chair of the ceremony M.A Malek emphasised the need of extending highest medicare services from IHL .
He said profit making is not our motto rather we desire to fulfill the scarcity of healthcare facilities in future from IHL.
MA Malek also requested Dr. Devi Shetty for taking initiatives for establishing a cancer hospital in Chattogram .
Managing Director of IHL Md Amjadul Ferdous Chowdhury also addressed the inaugural ceremony among others.
