Within the gap of one week, tremor jolts the port city and its adjoining areas on Monday. The tremor experienced at 4.01 pm with rictor scale of 5.0 points which is earmarked as mild quake by the Meterological Department.
Patenga met office sources said the epicenter of the quake was in South east Myanmar about 507 kilometers off Dhaka.
Mentiionable that similar mild tremor joits Chittagong on July 26 last with ricter scale of 4.9 at about 6 am. The epicenter of that tremor was Pakku province of Myanmar, sources said.
