Tremendous success in development achieved

The present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has achieved tremendous success in development of every sector on its way to build a middle income Bangladesh by 2021.
The observations came at a discussion organised by the District Information Office (DIO), Rangpur with assistance of Pirganj upazila administration at Pirganj upazila parishad auditorium yesterday followed by cultural function and screening of documentary films. The DIO organised the discussion for informing the people about the successes achieved by the government, future development plans and involving them with the uplift activities to further speed up national development. Pirganj Upazila Nirbahi officer SM Mazharul Islam attended and addressed the discussion as the chief guest with Senior District Information Officer Md Humayun Kobir in the chair.
General Secretary of Pirganj upazila Awami League (AL) Advocate Tazimul Islam Shamim, President of Pirganj upazila Mohila AL Johra Begum and former President of Pirganj upazila Mohila AL Rawshanara Wahed addressed as special guests. Officials, public representatives, heads of different educational institutions, NGO activists, teachers, students, youths, civil society members, journalists, sociocultural, political and religious leaders, women leaders and elite were present.
The Senior District Information Officer delivered power point presentation discussing successes achieved by the government in implementation of the Vision 2021, Charter of Changes and digitisation to accelerate pace of development.
He narrated the laudable development achieved in the education, health, agriculture, poverty alleviation, social safety-net, power generation, road communication, women and children development, women empowerment, digitisation and ICT sectors.
He discussed successes like winning sea, self-reliance on food, strengthening local government, improving law and order, self-employments, industrialisation, producing skilled human recourses, manpower export, prevention of human trafficking, militancy, terrorism, drug abuse, dowry, child marriage, polygamy and superstitions.
He also mentioned successes achieved in increasing remittance, improving diplomatic relations with international organisations and foreign countries, modernisation of disaster managements, research works and rehabilitation of disabled people, their job quota and prevention of child labour. The speakers said union digital centres, upazila and district web portals, digitised service providing devices and internet facilities have been reaching government services easily to the peoples’ doorsteps at the lowest costs making civic life easier.
Citing epoch-making success achieved by the present government in every sector, the chief guest urged all for working unitedly in building middle income Bangladesh by 2021 and a developed country by 2041.
