Rajshahi University (RU) Chattra Federation has organized a ‘Tree Plantation Week’ at the University on Sunday. RU Chattra Federation launched the programme for a week with slogan “Sobuj hok Motihar, Shovito hok amader jibon”.
Over 100 students brought out a rally catching different types of tree in their hands, which marched the main streets of the campus. The programme was inaugurated at Jarul-Bithi streets on the campus while Jarif Ayon, general secretary of RU Chattra Federation conducted the function.
Among others, Prof Sabrina Naz of botany department, Tazul Islam, forest officer of Rajshahi division, Chattra Federation central members Abdullah Al Muis, Utsab Mosaddek, Ahsan Hibib Rocky and Golam Mostofa were present in the inaugural programme.
