As part of campus beautification programme and improving greenery of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia, a tree plantation programme was held on the university campus.
IU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Harur-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the
programme as the chief guest on Wednesday by planting ‘Krishnochura’ at around 10:00 am.
IU Economics department organised the programme on the campus. Chairman of the department of Economics Prof Dr Debashish Sharma, Assistant Professor Farha Tanzim Titil, Assistant Prof Shahed Ahmed, officials and students of the department were present on the occasion. Around 58 types of fruit and herb saplings have been planted on the campus.
