BSS, Dhaka :Abul Bajdar, who has developed tree-root-like things in his hands and feet being affected by an unusual disease, will undergo a preliminary surgical operation at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) today.Two fingers of his right hand would be cleared through the primary operation, DMCH Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit Coordinator Dr. Samanta Lal Sen told BSS yesterday. A nine-member medical board has taken the decision.”We have taken the case of Abul as a challenge,” Dr. Sen said, adding that the nine-member medical team has reviewed reports of diagnostic tests and became sure that Abul has no cancer.As per the decision of the medical board the surgical operation will begin around 11 am today (Saturday). The next steps would be taken depending on the result of this operation, said Dr. Sen.He said, the samples of issue, blood and saliva of Abul have been sent to the United States for diagnostic tests. It will take time to get the reports. Abul Bajdar, 26, of Paikgachha in Khulna, was admitted to DMCH on January 30.
