BSS,Rangamati :A seven-day long district level tree fair began at Rangamati municipality office premises here today.State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Bir Bahadur Usaching inaugurated the fair as chief guest, jointly organaized by Rangamati District Administration, Forest Department and Agriculture Department.Ushaton Talukdar, MP, and Feroza Begum Chinu, MP, were present as special guests at the inaugural ceremony.Chairman of Rangamati Hill District Council Nikhil Kumar Chakma, Conservator of Forest of Rangamati Forest Circle Abu Hanif Patwary, Additional Director of Agriculture Extension Department of CHT Abdul Majid, Member Secretary of Tree Fair Committee and District Forest Officer of CHT South division Shamsul Azom were present, among other.Deputy Commissioner Md. Mostafa Kamal presided.Bir Bahadur Usaching urged the people of CHT region to plant at least three saplings as desired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.Earlier, a colourful rally was brought out from Rangamati Deputy Commissioner office.
