Trawler laden with mercantile goods sinks in Morrelganj

A trawler named MV. Baleswar laden with mercantile goods including 2 refreezes, rice, pulse, edible oil, desil oil etc. worth about Taka one crore sank in the river Panguchi near at Sannyasi Bazar under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district on Wednesday morning (at about 10 am), according to a delayed report received here.
 Saantu Majhi, manager of the trawler told, the ill-fated steel body trawler left Khulna Bara Bazar (Ghat) after loading various mercantile goods including 2 freezers, rice, pulse, edible oil, diesel oil etc. in the early hours of Wednesday for Kaukhali Bazar under Kaukhali Upazila in Pirojpur district via Sannyasi Bazar (in B agerhat district), Tushkali Bazar and Mathbaria Bazar (in Pirojpur district) and reached Sannyasi bazar at about 9 am to unload some groceries to a number of shops of the bazar. But at about 10 am it slanted to a side and sank in the river.
SI Anup Kumar, in-charge of Sannyasi police outpost told, the trawler with the capacity of 65 tones anchored at Sannyasi in the morning at about (at about 10 am (Wednesday), slanted to a side and sank in the river Panguchi. But there is no causalities of life and the recovering works of the sunken goods are going on.
