UNB, Chittagong :Transport owners and workers went on an indefinite strike in greater Chittagong protesting the alleged abduction of a transport worker by ‘law enforcers’.Mohammad Musa, general secretary of Arakan Road Transport Workers’ Association, said they enforced the strike in Chittagong, Rangamati, Cox’s Bazar, Bandarban and Khagrachhari districts at 6pm.The strike will continue until the abducted transport worker is released unhurt, he said. Earlier on Wednesday night, some miscreants identifying them as law enforcers picked up Nurul Islam, general secretary of City Human-hauler Workers’ Association, from Bandartilla under EPZ Police Station when he was returning home.
