Police recovered the body of a man from a hotel in Cinema Palace area of Chittagong city early on Wednesday.
Azim Chwodhury, 46, of Satkania upazila was the assistant general secretary of Bangladesh Inter-Districts Sarak Paribahan Sramik Union, said it’s Executive President Ekramul Huq.
He had been staying in the hotel for the last two and a half years, Huq added.
Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Police Station Jasim Uddin said the reason behind the death could be known after an autopsy.
