Speakers at a discussion said transparency and accountability in banking sector’s loan recovery management must be ensured for the sake of cordial relation between bankers and clients.
They viewed maintaining transparency is the precondition to successful operation of any bank branch. So, the branch level bankers should perform their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty in this regard.
They were addressing the closing and certificate-giving ceremony of a five-day training course titled “Loan Recovery Management” for some bankers of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) at its Training Institute in Rajshahi yesterday.
General Manager (Administration) Nishit Kumar Shaha and General Manager (Operation) Ekramul Haque addressed the session as chief and special guests respectively with Institute Principal Mozammel Haque in the chair.
The guests said successful loan recovery is largely dependent on selection of proper creditors alongside transparent loan disbursement. So, the issue must be given importance for the sake of branch-level proper loan recovery management coupled with successful operation of banking activities.
They also asked the attending officers to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity in the greater interest of delivering qualitative services to the farmers and other public in general for improving their living and livelihood condition.
Some 54 bankers from officer to principal officer took part in the training course.
