“The NBR has created tax-friendly environment, eased the necessary rules and regulations and introduced online services to increase the number of taxpayers. At the same time, various programmes have been undertaken to create tax awareness,” he added.
He said that once the new VAT law comes into effect, the small and medium businessmen would be benefitted as their accounting system would be much easier.
Rezaul also urged the private organizations to hold such workshops alongside the NBR to increase awareness on tax.
During the three-day workshop, VAT Online Project Director Syed Mushfiqur Rahman and VAT Commissioner Fakhrul Alam would remain present as trainers and would impart training on the new VAT law.
