A training workshop on ‘Ethics of Journalism and Sensitization on Innovation and Social Media in Public Services Delivery’ for journalists held on Monday in the auditorium of Bangladesh Press Council (BPC) in the city’s Topkhana Road on Monday. In the programme Chairman of the council Justice Mohammad Momtaj Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest while Shiyamal Chandra Karmakar, Secretary (Joint Secretary) of the council, Manik Mahmud, Capacity Development Specialist, A2I Programme, Prime Minister’s Office and Shamima Chowdhury, Senior Researcher of Bangladesh Press Institute were present as the resource persons.
While speaking Justice Momtaj called upon journalists to work sincerely upholding objective journalism for the greater interest of the nation.
About 35 journalists of different print and electronics media took part in the workshop.
After the workshop Momtaj distributed certificates to the journalists.
